Chicken and Turkey Rissoles

This is a healthy meal that you whip up in no time at all. It’s delicious and juicy and you can vary the flavours in the salad, rissoles and sauce s it’s a great dish to develop into your own preferences. But I’m going to give you my base recipe for this dish.

Ingredients:
2 servings

400 g minced turkey/chicken (I used half and half)
1 spring onion (chopped)
1 garlic clove (finely chopped)
1 tbsp cajun spices
salt and pepper
olive oil

salad of your choice
I used low fat sour cream as a cold sauce for the dish. I added onion powder, cajun spices, salt and pepper. This is optional.

Method:
Mix minced meat, spring onion, garlic and spices in a bowl with your hands. Form patties in the size that you prefer.
Cook the patties in a frying pan with olive oil on medium high heat until they have a nice colour on the inside and are cooked through. The time depends on the size of your patties. But you can cut one in half and see. I made 6 patties from 400 g mince and cooked them 4 minutes on each side. I let them rest for 5 minutes.
Meanwhile your rissoles are resting make the salad and sauce (optional).
Now serve and enjoy this delicious and healthy meal!
